Sr. Annette:  We welcome Sr. Annette home from the Missions.  Sr. Annette will be speaking at all Masses next weekend and seeking your support for her various Mission Projects.

Tax Relief Forms:  Thank you to all those who have returned their Tax Forms.  We would encourage those who have yet to do so to drop them in over the coming week.  Last year the Parish received over €15,000. tax refund which was used to help repay the Restoration Loan.

Banagher Tidy Towns:  Community launch of Heritage Brochure and Postcards of Banagher on Wed. 26th Feb. at 8 p.m. in Crank House.  The support of the town’s people at this function would be appreciated.  Refreshments will be served.

Thank You:  The Committee of the Banagher, Cloghan, Lusmagh Branch of Offaly Hospice Foundation acknowledges with grateful thanks the very generous donation of €200 from St. Rynagh’s National School.  Your support for this worthy cause is greatly appreciated.

The Christmas Lights Committee would like to express their sincerest thanks to each and every person from Banagher and surrounding areas who contributed towards brightening up Banagher for 2013.  A very special thank you to Brian Pattison of Banagher Tyres & Niall Ryan, Accountancy Firm for supplying each Christmas Tree for this project free of charge.  A quick breakdown for anyone interested:-  Total Money Raised €6,449.80.  Total Money paid out – Lights, Timers Contractors, Brackets etc. €5,138.60.  Balance remaining €1,311.12.  We will have a meeting on Mon. 24th Feb. in Crank House at 8 p.m.  All newcomers welcome.

Banagher & District Cardiac First Response Unit is a very important service in our community and potentially lifesaving.  Members who are all volunteers have been trained in the use of defibrillators, C.F.R. and Choking.  If you would like to become a volunteer please call 087 2561966.  The cost of the training which includes handbook, C.P.R. mask and high visibility jacket cost €50 paid in advance.

Shannonside Sub Aqua Club, Banagher:  Our Annual Church Gate Collection takes place on the 22nd/23rd  of Feb.  in Lusmagh, Cloghan and Banagher, your continued support is greatly appreciated.   Pool Training for all new members continues each Monday night in Birr Swimming Pool at 9.30 p.m.    Lecture night TBC.

Used Stamps for the Missions:  Your used postage stamps can help the missions in Africa. Just leave a half-inch margin around each stamp and send them to St.Patrick’s, Kiltegan, Co. Wicklow. There, retired missionaries sort the stamps and prepare them for sale to stamp collectors.
