Jared Madden’s Children’s Drama Show takes place this coming week in St. Rynagh’s College of Further Education on Wed. 20th , Thurs 21st, & Fri. 22nd March at 7.30 p.m.   All welcome

Daffodil Day 22nd March in aid of The Irish Cancer Society.  If you would like to donate fresh daffodils for Daffodil Day they can be left into the Post Office.  Your support would be very much appreciated.

The Gathering Celebrations:  A public meeting will take place on Wed 27th March at 8 p.m. in the Crank House, for all interested in helping to suggest and organize gathering events in the town for July and August. It is hoped that a representative from all organizations in the town will attend.  Everyone welcome.

Banagher Knitting Club meet in The Library every Thurs. eve from 6 to 8 p.m., so bring along your needles and wool.   knitwear for sale in Banagher town centre at Craft Fair on Easter Sat. 30th March. We are hoping to set up a kids knitting club after

Easter on Sat. morn in The Library.   If anyone wishes to help to teach kids to knit please let us know.

Banagher & District Cardiac First Response Unit – Church Gate Collection this weekend 16/17th March.  Your support would be greatly appreciated.

Banagher Library March Opening Times: Banagher Library will be open for normal hours- Thurs. 2-5 p.m. 6-8 p.m., Fri. 10-1 p.m.,2-5 p.m.,Sat. 10-1 p.m. As per normal the library will be closed any Saturday of a Bank holiday weekend i.e. 16th March and 30th March and also for Good Friday 29th March 2013. Wanted-suitable spare plants and surplus timber decking:  Hello gardeners! Have you any spare evergreen plants/shrubs in your garden? Banagher Tidy Towns are busy planting up new areas to make our town more attractive. Shade tolerant plants such as ferns, mahonia, hostas and periwinkles(vincas) would be particularly suitable. If you have a surplus of this category and wish to donate please call Therese on 086 8650133. Also we are looking for suitable unwanted timber to help make up planter boxes for varies locations. Spare lengths of decking would be ideal but other similar timbers may also suit. Text 087 6269645 to arrange collection. This is one way to involve our community and help with activities and promote our recycling initiatives.

Apostolate of Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration First Annual Pilgrimage to Knock:  Celebrating the Year of Faith at Knock Shrine on Sat. 20th April 10 to 5 p.m. there will be Talks, Adoration, Confessions, Eucharistic Procession, Workshops, Rosary, Mass, Benediction, Blessing of the Sick, Children’s Adoration.  All welcome.
