Youth Facility Monster Auction:  Thanks to everyone who supported our Monster Auction, to those who donated items and those who came on the day.  Total raised €6,300.

Banagher Review 2012 is now on sale locally this weekend.  The 25th Edition contains 240 pages and 800 photos of events throughout the year.

Parish Christmas Cards:  This year the Parish will be selling Christmas Mass Bouquet Cards with the image of last year’s crib on the front.  All those who receive a card will be included in the Masses over the Christmas Season.  Cards will be on sale after Masses and in some shops €1.50.  A great gift for family & friends.

BEAVERS Bring & Buy Sale on 8th Dec. in the New Scout Hall (The Old Convent, entrance beside National School) from 2 – 4 p.m. in aid of  St.Vincent de Paul Toy Appeal.  All money raised will be used locally.  Your support would be greatly appreciated.

Banagher Foroige Club  are holding a Christmas Food Collection in aid of St. Vincent de Paul  (non perishable food only).  The food can be brought to the Comm. Centre 8 – 9.30 p.m. on Thurs. 6th – 13th Dec.  *  Club meet every Thurs. 8 – 9.30 p.m.   * The Club will close for Christmas on Dec. 13th and reopen on Jan. 10th 2013.

Lusmagh Foroige Club are holding a Food Collection for St. Vincent de Paul (non perishable foods only).  The food can be dropped to the Lusmagh Parish Hall from Mon. 3rd & 10th from 8 – 9 p.m.  Your support would be greatly appreciated.

Acknowledgement:  The family of the late Denise Kennedy R.I.P., Feighs would like to express their heartfelt thanks for the help and support shown them by Fr. Pierre and the local community in their recent sad loss.  A sum of €785 has been donated to Riverview Resources, Birr.  Heartfelt thanks to all who contributed.

Retirement Club  meeting Tues. 4th Dec. 2 p.m.  Christmas Floral Demonstration followed by raffle & refreshments.

Art Exhibition by Mona Collins & other local Artists will be held in the Exhibition Centre, Green Street, Birr.  Opening on Wed. 5th Dec. at 7.30 p.m. until Sun. 9th Dec. 8 p.m.  All proceeds will go for Cancer Research.

West Offaly Bantry Bay Longboat Project:  Places are available on this project which is taking place in St. Rynagh’s College of Further Education on Mon. 9 – 4 p.m. and Tues. 9 – 1 p.m.  The project includes training in carpentry skills and the construction of a Bantry Bay Longboat under the direction of Dougal McMahon (Boat Builder, Belmont).  If interested contact P.
