Altar Swap:  Priests of the Cluster will be swapping Churches this weekend.  Fr. Cox will say Mass this Sun. in Banagher while Fr. Pierre will celebrate Mass in Clonfanlough.

Commemoration of the Dead:  Friday 18th Nov a special Mass to pray for and remember all our deceased family and friend takes place at 7.30 pm.

Feast Day of St. Rynagh will be celebrated on Mon. 21st Nov. at 7 p.m. All welcome.



 Collection Envelopes for the coming Year are now ready for delivery.  Once again we are asking the help of members of the parish to deliver them.  If you can help please collect boxes in the Sacristy.  Thanks for your help.

supported them in their recent ‘Sleep Out’ in aid of the “Simon Community” held in O’Connor Park.

Banagher College Coláiste na Sionna are hosting a Talk on Cyber Bullying, Sexting and Internet Safety for Parents, in the school on Tues. next 15th Nov. 2016 at 7.30 p.m. The Talk is being delivered by Jeremy Pagden of Schools Websites. Jeremy has been travelling all over the country delivering Internet Safety talks to both parents and children alike. This talk will help parents to get a grasp of things that their children are experiencing on line.

The Christmas Lights Committee is holding a Public Meeting next Wed. 16th Nov. at 8.30 p.m. in The Snug in Corrigan’s.  This meeting will determine whether the town will be lit up this year or not. EVERYONE welcome.  Please spread the word.

Men’s Shed:    A meeting with a view to setting up a “Men’s Shed” in Banagher will take place on Thurs. 17th Nov. at 2.30 p.m. in Crank House, Main Street.

West Offaly Comhaltas AGM is RESCHEDULED to Tues. 22nd Nov.  2016 in the Crank House, Banagher at 8 p.m.

Banagher Ladies Club will have their Christmas night out in Hennessy’s, Ferbane on 2nd Dec. at 8 p.m.   A mini bus will be available. Please contact committee members if you want to book a seat on the bus. The cost is €25.

Banagher District Cardiac Response Group wish to thank C.G.H. Pharmacy for their donation of €1,070.78 proceeds from their “Give for Good Campaign”.  This money will be used to maintain the service in the area.

The Banagher Branch of the Irish Red Cross would like to invite members of the public who have an interest in learning First Aid to contact us and see what we’re about.  Red Cross volunteers range from Frist Aiders to EMTs and provide medical cover at many local and national events as well as knowing what to do in an emergency in the family or wider community.  If interested please contact Gary on 087 2873157 or email for more details.
