Cemetery Development:  Work on laying of concrete paths has started and will continue for the next 2 weeks.  The cemetery committee apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Banagher Bridge Club will resume in Crank House on Mon. 26th Sept. at 7.45 p.m. New members welcome.

Banagher Parent and Toddler Group has resumed every Tuesday from 10.30-12 p.m. in the Community Centre for all children from babies to pre-school age and for all carers of children. Cost €2 per morning includes light refreshments.

Banagher Active Retirement Club: Next meeting Tues. 20th Sept. 2 – 4.30 p.m.  *Trip to Arklow on Sun. 2nd Oct. 3 nights – a further payment of €50 required at Tues. meeting.  A few places available, names to Bridie or Mary as soon as possible.

The French club recommences in Birr Rugby club on Thurs. 22nd Sept. This is a fun French programme for primary school children with an emphasis on the spoken word. Classes are taught through the medium of song, role-play, games and activities. Ages 4 to 12 years. West Offaly Comhaltas lessons commencing Friday the 23rd of September. Class numbers will be limited and all students must have registered in order to attend classes on Sept 23rd. Students must be 6 years or over and new students will be limited to one instrument per term. Please Note:  All instruments on loan Must be returned ASAP. Banagher Horse Fair this Sun. 18th September 2016.  Keeping the tradition alive. One of Ireland’s oldest fairs.  We would like to welcome anyone visiting our parish for the Annual Horse Fair.

Eyrecourt Agricultural Show and Family Fun Day (Eyrecourt, Co. Galway) takes place this Sun. 18th Sept.   A great Family day out.
