Newsletters:  From the beginning of Sept. newsletters will be put out before the Masses and not on Fridays as has been the tradition.

Morning Prayer 6.30 a.m. each morning. Reason 40 Prayer:  “Prayer is the best armour against all trials.”

Clonmacnoise Pattern Day will be celebrated on Sunday 11th September.  Ceremonies commence at 3 p.m.

The Diocesan Pilgrimage to Knock takes place this Sunday 4th Sept.  Confessions from 12.30 p.m.  Anointing of the Sick 2.30 p.m.  Mass and Eucharistic Blessing of the Sick with Benediction 3 p.m., followed by the Rosary Procession.

Banagher Active Retirement Club  returns on Tues. 6th Sept. 2 – 4.30 p.m.  Looking forward to seeing you all.

Banagher Social Services:  A trip to Arklow, Co. Wicklow has been arranged for Sun. 2nd Oct. for 3 nights.  Names & deposit of €20 will be taken at Tues. meeting.  Further info. on the day.

*Big Brother Big Sister *   Foroige are looking for volunteers, adults aged 18 years and over throughout Offaly to sign up to our *Big Brother Big Sister*  programme. If you can share one to two hours of your time per week, to hang out with and provide positive support to a Young Person aged 10 to 18 years. Offaly Comhaltas Registration Night – Friday 9th Sept. 7-9 p.m. in Banagher College of Further Education. Lessons commencing Friday 23rd of Sept. Class numbers will be limited and all students must have registered in order to attend classes on Sept 23rd. Students must be 6 years or over and new students will be limited to one instrument per term. Please Note:  All instruments on loan must be returned on registration night. Banagher Library:   Opening hours have changed Tues. 10 – 1 p.m. & 2 – 5 p.m., Thurs. 2 –  5 p.m. & 6 – 8 p.m., Sat. 10 a.m. -1 p.m.   All Open Libraries members can use the library 8 a.m. – 10 p.m.  Monday through to Sunday.

Irish Dance Classes will resume in Banagher Community Centre on Wed. 14th Sept. at 2.45 p.m.  New beginners welcome.  Contact Gráinne 086 3567091.
