New Mass Times (First Weekend in July)  Sat. 7 p.m. Sun. 11 a.m. (no 8.30 a.m. Mass and 11.30 Mass changes to 11 a.m.) Christmas & Easter there will be an 8.30 a.m. Mass.  There will be Mass each Sunday at 7 p.m. in Ferbane.  Please let any family members know of change if they will be coming to Anniversary Masses.


First Holy Communion:  34 children from our Church will receive Holy Communion for the first time next Sunday at the 11.30 a.m. Sunday Mass.  Please pray for them and their parents.

Tea Morning on the 5th of May for Alzheimer’s in the home of Mairead Grant, Coolfin Banagher, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.   All welcome.

Birr Golf Club – Ladies Branch: Come to Taster Evening in Birr Golf Club on Thur. 5th May at 7.30 p.m. Ladies and girls of all ages welcome. All equipment provided. A ten week Bereavement Support Programme will commence with an information evening on 11th May 2016 at our centre in Offaly St. Tullamore. Croghan Hill Challenge 21st May:  Calling everyone who is up for a fun challenge.  All proceeds go directly to Irish Children’s Arthritis Network which is a 100% Voluntary and no one takes a salary from it. It was set up by a group of parents to provide support to each other, to advocate for better services for the children and to raise awareness of Juvenile Arthritis.  Further information or to register call Mairead Heavin 086 6055559 or register on line at and select Croghan Hill Challenge.

Pope Francis’ Special Appeal for Humanitarian Aid for Ukraine: Pope Francis recently called for a special collection which will be held in St. Rynagh’s Church the weekend 7/8th May to help alleviate the suffering of those affected by the continuing armed conflict in Ukraine.  The Holy Father stated that the collection was a “gesture of charity, one that apart from alleviating material suffering, shows my personal closeness as well as that of the entire Church” to the people of Ukraine.

The Darkness into Light 5km Walk/Run will take place in Banagher this year on Sat. 7th May in aid of Pieta House, the centre for the preventions of suicide and self-harm.   The event will begin at 4.15 a.m. from Banagher College and participants will cross the line as dawn is breaking.  You can register online now.

Archbishop Eamon Martin will lead a Christian solidarity pilgrimage to the Holy Land from September 9-17, 2016, on a direct flight from Dublin. It will be an opportunity to visit holy sites and walk in the footsteps of Jesus in Bethlehem, Nazareth,
