Altar Swap:  This weekend the priests of the Cluster will swap Churches.  Fr. Pierre will be in High Street & Boora and Fr. Ryan will be in St. Rynagh’s, Banagher on Sunday.

Census Night is 24th April: Census enumerators will be calling to all dwellings in the area in the coming weeks.

New Radio Broadcast System:  By next week we hope to have our new Mass Broadcast System up and running.  With this new system you can listen to all Church Services on any radio, at home, in the car and on the web.   We will publish the frequency you can get the Mass on once the system is installed.  The quality will be much clearer and audible.

Gerry McCabe and his family welcome you to a night of celebration in recognition of the support and friendship shown to them throughout Gerry’s determined journey to walk again.   Come along and enjoy a little food, chat and music and see Gerry walk on the night in his new Ekso Bionic Suit in Cloghan Hall on Sat. 23rd April at 8.45 p.m.

Jared Madden’s Drama Show “Magic Moments” takes place in St. Rynagh’s College of Further Education, Banagher, next Wed 20th, Thurs. 21st & Fri. 22nd April at 7.30 p.m.  All welcome.

Life in the Spirit Seminars starting in Tullamore Church of the Assumption at 7.30 p.m. on Wed. 20th April 2016. They will be running for the following 6 Wed. and will have some great speakers such as Eddie Stones, Fr. Thady Doyle and Fr. John Keane.

Mid Atlantic Boat Club (sionn mhara) will hold their Annual Church Gate Collect next weekend Sat. 16th and Sun. 17th of April. Your support is greatly appreciated.

Tracey Tinney is raising funds for Cross Cause – Irish Charity, which supports orphans with special needs in Romania. There will be a Church Gate Collection this weekend 16/17 April.  Your support would be very much appreciated.

Charlotte Bronte 200 Celebrations: As part of the second That Beats Banagher Festival an evening to celebrate Charlotte Bronte’s 200th birthday will be held on Thurs. 21st April. The evening commences at 7 p.m. with “’A Miscellany for Charlotte”’ in St. Paul’s Church. This will be a selection of readings, music and song related to the great novelist and her husband Arthur Bell Nicholls of Banagher.  Immediately afterwards
“Charlotte’s Birthday Celebrations” will be held on the grounds of Charlotte’s Way, (formerly Hill House).  Admission to this event is strictly limited and by ticket only. Tickets are free. Bookings can be made online at www.thatbeatsbanagher.com or by calling

The Darkness into Light 5km Walk/Run will take place in Banagher this year on Sat. 7th May in aid of Pieta House, the centre for the preventions of suicide and self-harm.   The event will begin at 4.15 a.m. from Banagher College and participants will cross the line as dawn is breaking.  You can register online now.

Archbishop Eamon Martin will lead a Christian solidarity pilgrimage to the Holy Land from September 9-17, 2016, on a direct flight from Dublin. It will be an opportunity to visit holy sites and walk in the footsteps of Jesus in Bethlehem, Nazareth, Galilee and Jerusalem. €1,495 per person sharing.
