Banagher Cemetery Collection:  Most homes will have by now received the leaflet and envelope; any remaining homes will receive them over the coming day.  A number of questions have been asked of the committee.  The following are the important points in relation to the future of the cemetery:-  1.  The cemetery will continue to be owned by the County Council.  2.  The envelope collection will be used by the committee solely for the upkeep and development of the cemetery and for no other purpose e.g. insurance.   3.  Monies for plots will go to the County Council and not the committee.  The Council will make a contribution of €3,000 a year towards the upkeep of the grave yard.   4.  The work being carried out by the council in the cemetery at present is solely the responsibility of the council and the deployment of these men is down to the council.  The committee has no role in this matter.           The envelopes will be collected over the coming week or can be left in at Masses, or can be left in the box in the Post Office.  Thank you to all who helped in this task and everyone for their generosity.
