New Mass Schedule:   This weekend marks the end of an era in our Parish with the introduction of the new Mass times in the cluster area.  This weekend we will celebrate our last 8.30 a.m. Sunday Mass and change the 11.30 Mass to 11 a.m.  We are very conscious of the change this will mean in the lives of especially those who were so devoted to the 8.30 a.m. Mass down through the years.  We are conscious of a sense of loss many will feel at the loss of the 8.30 a.m. Mass.  As we have tried to convey throughout the process we are planning for the future realities of the Church in the coming years, with less priests and less people attending Mass.  We want to say a sincere word of thanks to you all who remain faithful in difficult times and to thank you for your understanding and support.  Change is never easy, but sometimes it is necessary and unavoidable as in this case.

Graveyard Clean-up:  We are looking for helpers to help clean up the long grass left after cutting.  We will meet on Mon. & Tues. at 7 p.m.  Bring a rake and wheelbarrow.  All welcome.  You can return envelopes to the Church or Post Office or on Cemetery Sunday.

There are 25 voluntary responders, who are called at the same time as the ambulance, in cases of cardiac arrest, strokes and choking. They rely totally on fund raising to buy equipment and get training.   We are grateful for your support.

Over the two days, thousands of volunteers will sell a range of items ranging from sunflower pins to nail files.  The aim is to raise €1 million to support local hospice services. Everything raised locally, stays locally. The use of the funds depends on the local needs – in some areas it will fund home care services and in others, it will be invested in the hospice.
