BRONTE BICENTENARY The 200th anniversary of Charlotte Bronte’s birth will take place in April 2016 when it is hoped her strong associations with Banagher will be celebrated in the town. To gain a better knowledge of the great feminist writer, her family and her short lived marriage to

Arthur Bell Nicholls of Banagher, it is hoped a group will visit Haworth Parsonage in Yorkshire this autumn, perhaps in October. Anybody interested in going on the trip should contact Nicola Daly of Charlotte’s Way, 087 689 2462, Ger Killilea 087 259 6148 or James Scully 085 710 7569.

TROLLOPE FESTIVAL:  The committee of That Beats Banagher Festivals wish to thank all who partook in the recent Anthony Trollope Weekend. We are especially indebted to those who decorated shop windows, donned period costumes, provided Victorian Tea parties, read from

Trollope’s work or participated in the many other events which made the first TBB Festival (thatbeatsbanagher.com) successful.
