Visitors to the Cemetery:  If you are visiting your loved ones graves please remember to return and bring home any rubbish from the cemetery in order to keep the place tidy.  Waste from wreaths and flower wrappings do not degrade naturally and need to be properly disposed of.

Used Clothing Collection in aid of Fr. Nicholas Maanzo & his Parish, St. Patrick’s, Kitui, Kenya will take place on Tues. 24th Feb. from 9 – 12 noon in St. Rynagh’s & St. Mary’s Church Car Parks.  Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Launch of St Rynagh’s Hurling Club 5 Year Plan:   St Rynagh’s Hurling Club will Launch its 5 Year Plan at Banagher College, Coláiste na Sionna on Friday next (Feb 27th) at 7.30 p.m.  Everybody is invited to attend. It is hoped that as many people from our parish as possible will be able to attend.

Banagher St. Patrick’s Day Parade:   A Church gate collection will be held on Sat. 28th Feb. and Sun. 1st March in aid of the Banagher St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Your support would be greatly appreciated. The Committee would like to say, a huge thank you, to all those who supported the Table Quiz last weekend. As always we would like to encourage as many local entries in the parade as possible, so please get your thinking caps on and get involved.

5K Run –  Jog –  Walk – Cycle in aid of Banagher Cemetery FundBanagher Bereavement Hospitality Fund on Sun. 1st March at 11 a.m.  Registration from 10 a.m. at the Community Centre.  Entry €10  U16 €5  Your support would be very much appreciated.

Youth 2000 Ireland invites all young adults aged 16-35 to a Catholic weekend retreat taking place from 6th – 8th  March at Galway Community College, Moneenageisha, Galway City. This will be an exciting weekend attracting over 100 young people from all over the country.
What to expect? Good craic, excellent speakers, inspiring talks and workshops, prayer, great music, group activities, Youth Masses, Adoration, a Healing Service, games, lots of time to chill out, meet new people and a reluctance to go home!! Banagher Gun Club:   As a mark of respect to the late Martin Dolan, who was a lifelong member of the club, the shoot on Sunday 15th has been cancelled.

Banagher Active Retirement:  Our next meeting is on Tues. 17th Feb. 2 – 4.30 p.m.  Membership is now due and new members welcome.  *  Our trip to the Wellington Park Hotel, Belfast is from Sun. 12th April 3 nights/4 days.  A deposit of €50 is required at the next meeting. Our new committee are looking forward to seeing you all there.

The Banagher, Cloghan, Lusmagh Branch of Offaly Hospice acknowledges with thanks the following recently received donations;  €150 from St. Rynagh’s Primary School;  €1050 from Corrigan’s Bar in the name of Mrs. Fiona O’Connor;  €825 from the Egan Family, Cornamona in loving memory of Mr. Kieran Egan R.I.P.   All funds donated will be used to benefit the people of Offaly.  Sincere thanks to all concerned.
