Pastoral Council Election:  Nominations sheets for the election of 4 new members are now available at all entrances to the Church.  The names of the present members are printed on the sheet.  Please nominate 2 women and 2 men.  You can return these forms at next week’s Masses.

Banagher Cemetery Update:  Over the coming weeks we will publish the amounts collected and the works to be carried out over the next few months.

Half Hours of Silence every Wed. at 8.30 p.m. in the Church.  All are welcome to join us for a short period of silent presence in the company of God.

Mass Book: The Mass Book for 2015 is now available.   If you wish to book a Mass for 2015 contact Fr. Pierre.

New Servers:  We welcome all our new Servers who will begin serving over the next few weeks.

CU-FACTOR: Auditions taking place this weekend. First round of competition will be held in St Rynagh’s College of Further Education on Sat Sep 27th at 8 30 p.m. Come along and support your friends and neighbours. Adm €5 Family €15.

Girl Guides: St Rynagh’s Guide Co. –  meetings resume on Tues. Sept. 30th at 4 45 p.m. in the Community Centre. Registration for all and new guides especially welcome.

The Offaly Association for People with Intellectual Disability will be collecting at the church gate September 27th & 28th.   Funds raised go directly to individuals with intellectual disability for vital services. For further information about the Association please ring Suzanne 057 9360551.

Thank You to the people of Banagher & surrounding areas who supported the recent street bucket collection for Offaly Down Syndrome. A generous total of €478 was collected.

West Offaly Comhaltas A.G.M. takes place on Wed. October 1st at 8 p.m. in St. Rynagh’s College of Further Education.

Cloghan & District Boxing Club in Quigley’s Hall, Banagher  8 – 9 p.m.  Anyone interested in joining or staying fit can come along. THE SIX MARYS… Thurs Oct 2nd at 8 30 p.m. in St Rynagh’s College of Further Educ. This “one man show” written and presented by Jean Farrell, looks at life from 1950s to the present. Sprinkled with songs from each decade, it has been described as “really, really funny and SO true to life”.

Banagher Drama Group/Banagher Musical Society would like to thank all those who attended the High Kings concert last week. Banagher Youth Theatre have some places for their weekly workshop which takes place every Friday night at 7.30 to 9 p.m. in the Crank House, Main Street Banagher. BYT returns Friday 19th of September. BYT is open to anyone from First year to Leaving Cert. Offaly Hurling Open Forum: Presentations by Diarmuid Healy & Martin Fogarty on Stage 1 of Offaly Recovery. Implementing Skill Coaching in Team Preparation.  Venue:  Co. Down Syndrome Ireland – Tour de Leinster 600 km bike rally will be in the midlands in Sept.  Proceeds will benefit Offaly Down Syndrome Home Teacher Programme.  Your support would be appreciated at various locations about town as we shake buckets.
