Croagh Patrick Climb:  The Annual Croagh Patrick climb from the cluster of parishes takes place on Bank Holiday Mon. 6th Aug.  Bus leaving Church at 8.00 am. If you are interested in doing the climb you can give your name over the coming days.

Lost: Large sum of money lost last Fri. 20th July in the town region.  Reward offered for return of same.  Contact Fr. Pierre.

Bring & Buy Sale/Auction: Banagher Tidy Towns are holding a Bring & buy  Sale/Auction on this Sun. from 12 noon to 6.00 p.m. in St. Rynagh’s N.S.

Banagher Youth Facility:  Plans for the Youth Facility are at an advanced stage.  We are in the process of seeking tenders for various works to be carried out – Electrical, Plumbing, Plastering, Carpentry, Windows & Doors.  We invite anyone interested in tendering to contact Frank Kelly 087 6553030 or Fr. Pierre 087 6960542.  All tenders must be tax compliant, have a C2 & Insurance Cover.  Closing date for expression of interest next Friday 3rd Aug.

Shannon Bank Park:  The Church Gate Collection for the Shannon Bank Park raised €829. Which the Trustees are very appreciative and grateful.  Anybody who missed the collection and would like to contribute may give their contributions into the Post Office or Tourist Office, Crank House.

Social Services Outing:  Tour to Gleneagle Hotel, Killarney Sept. 2nd – 5th (three nights four days).  Names and deposit must be in this weekend please to Mary 9151304 or Bridie 9151228.

Crumlin Children’s Hospital Mount Everest Trek:  On 18th Oct. this year Shane Flannery will embark on a trek to Mt. Banagher Shannon Bank Park situated over the Bridge is owned by the people of Banagher and held in trust on their behalf by li local Trustees. The upkeep of the park is looked after by Offaly West Community Enterprise Scheme (FÁS). The only source of income for the maintenance of the park is the Church Gate Collection which takes place on next weekend 2 1/22 July. Please support.

St. Rynagh’s Ladies Football Club U8 and U10 Training on Mon. at 5.00 pm to 6.00 pm. All girls welcome.

Healing Retreat: John Pridmore and St. Patrick’s Community shall be leading a retreat in Ards Friary, Creeslough, Co. I)onegal from the 201b to the 22nd of July. This is an opportunity to receive immense healing from our past. All are welcome.

Offaly G.A.A. Cúl Camp starts in Banagher this week Mon to Fri. 16th – 20th July 10.00 am to 2.30 pm. Co-ordinator John Leahy. We have grown from strength to strength over the last number of years. In 2011 we facilitated over 2.000 children around Offaly and once again our aim is to provide every child who participates in the camps with the opportunity of: Developing his/her skill in Gaelic Games, fun and excitement, attractive gear, communicating and relating to people with the same interests as themselves.

Ógras & Biorra le Gaeilge are running an Irish Language Summer Camp for students during July in Birr. This ‘Campa samhraidh’ offers a week of games. sport, (lancing, art & music ‘as Gaeilge’.
